International Code for Box Packaging

The International Box Packaging Code was developed by the ECMA and is similar to the FEFCO-Code used by the corrugated card industry.

The aim is to provide manufacturers and users with a standardised tool for simplifying both communication and the process of locating solutions. The principal constructional options are presented clearly in a small number of structured groups.

The ECMA shown here represent only a small section of the general catalogue. It is also possible that the illustrated ECMA codes refer to internally defined standards.
